Ranger Rush

Info about me:

Hi there! I am 16 and have been coding small games for years, but I have never really finished a project (you know the struggle). But alas I have finally made a finished product (with plans to add more features and fix bugs in the future).

For years I had coded in every major coding language but never Assembly. About a month ago I decided to try my hand at it. Because this project was coded entirely in Assembly (with a few helper functions in C), it taught me a lot about how computers work and how to problem solve with limited tools.

Info about the game:

In short, this game is cowboy crossy road. I chose this theme because I thought a crossy road/frogger themed game would be easy enough to code but still a challenge, and the cowboy part is just because I love cowboys. I was just doodling cartoon cowboys in math class when I had the idea (don't worry math is easy for me and I get enough practice from all the coding I do).

I have plans to add a bit of a plot into the game (and maybe a cutscene), but for now the main thing you have to do is survive and run away from the Bucktooth Bronco and his men. Pretty soon I will add a local leaderboard so you can save your score on your computer and see your previous attempts.

Additional Notes:

If you try to press the 'Settings' button or 'Add score to leaderboard' button, nothing will happen. I will add functionality to these buttons soon though.

Also I've never used itch.io before, and I'm not sure if the .exe I compiled will work on all platforms. I'm on Windows by the way. So if the game doesn't work please contact me so I can recompile and fix it.
